Town of Sullivan's Island

Police Department

The Sullivan’s Island Police Department is comprised of the Chief of Police, six full-time patrol officers and one police detective, with over ninety years of experience combined. It also employs one full time animal control officer and one reserve officer, all of which serve the island’s population of approximately 2000 year-round residents.

Due to the beauty and tranquility of the beaches, the island is visited by many vacationers as well as local beach goers.  The island is also home to historical landmarks such as Fort Moultrie and the Sullivan’s Island Lighthouse.
