The Sullivan’s Island Police Department is comprised of eleven full-time staff members:  The Chief of Police, nine full-time patrol officers (one being a police detective) and one animal control officer to serve the Island’s population of approximately 2,000 year-round residents.  During the spring/summer months, the Town employs part-time Beach Services Officers to assist with beach public safety and parking enforcement when our Island population booms with tourist and day-visitors.
