August 2016 (Update):

Work to completion continues at a furious pace at the new Sullivan's Island Town Hall and Police Station.  As of August the building is fully enclosed and the HVAC is operating.  Inside dry wall is complete, finish carpentry underway, lighting is being installed, bathroom finishes are being installed and security and fire suppression systems are being tested.   Outside you will notice hardscape, decks, stairs and rails coming together.  The furniture installation and occupancy are currently set for late September.  Details for the grand opening to follow.

Town Hall/Police Station Parking Reminder: Visitors may park in designated parking spaces along Middle Street or in the right-of-way along Station 20 1/2 and Gull Drive.

J. Marshall Stith Park:  The Park and tennis courts remain open and are not affected by construction. Construction workers will work within the construction fencing; construction workers and authorized personnel, only, may enter the fenced area.  Parents are encouraged to accompany all children to the Park and/or discussion safety near construction sites with older children who will play in the Park without adult supervision.

New Town Hall/Police Station - The new facility will face Middle Street between the J. Marshall Stith Park and Fire Station.  Click here for project information.

Please help the Town - Report all coyote sightings!
It is very important to report each and every coyote sighting using the following procedure:

Call Consolidated Dispatch:  (843) 743-7200 (available 24/7)
Provide the following data:
1. Date of sighting
2. Time of sighting
3. Location of sighting
4.  Quantity of Coyotes
5. Circumstances - Did you HEAR, SEE or INTERACT with the coyote(s)

Interact means having to actively scare away the coyote by activity such as staring it down, yelling/making noise, throwing something at the coyote, etc

The Town does not encourage you to physically engage a coyote.
If at any time you feel in danger, please call 9-1-1 for emergency assistance.

Reporting each and every sighting provides the Town necessary data to track coyote habitats and behavior patterns.  This information is critical to the Town's regular review of its coyote management strategies. Thank you for your assistance.
